Hello - I would appreciate being allowed to join SKCC. I have been a Licenced Ham since 1968 (UK Callsign G3YTC) and soon after entered Navy College and obtained my 1st Class PMG Marine Radio Ops Licence followed by about 15 years on 23 Ships as R/O. All using Straight Keys for CW (as any other key was strictly not allowed in the Radio Rm). My interest in Ham Radio has continued to this day and I still hold my UK Callsign (now GW3YTC) plus VK4BGR and in addition to my 7J1 (Foreign Resident of Japan) I hold a fixed Stn Lic JS2PNZ. 99% of my Ham Radio activity is CW and until recently that was Straight Key only. In recent years due to very high QRN in Tokyo/Yokohama (I live in JPN now) I made a remote stn in the IZU mountains and can now enjoy Ham Radio 24/7 -but my remotes are keyed via my PC so does not meet the SKCC key requirements. However, as my first choice, I use a Straight Key when I am physically at my IZU Site.
I promise to use only a straight key for any SKCC related events. Your consideration of my application would be appreciated = 73s/George

I was originally licensed in 1991, and I am currently an Advanced Class license holder.

I have devoted decades to the research of Puerto Rico's first telegraph line, established by Samuel Morse on March 1st, 1859. I intend to write a book on this subject after I retire (probably within the next five years).

As part of my retirement plans, I also want to relearn ham radio and Morse Code, so that I can use it regularly on the air. I still have a Nye Viking J-38 straight key with which I completed the grand total of ONE confirmed CW QSO, back in the days of paper logs.

28720 - W8NPC - Neal - REED CITY - MI
Extra. I've never been very fast/good at CW. I have the same straight key I had 44 years ago with no intention to upgrade.

28721 - KE0BAP - Roger - Pueblo West - CO
general, need to learn straight key sending

28722 - DL2LFH - Martin - Hannover - GER
CEPT class A. I've been using a straight key since I learned Morse telegraphy and cannot seem to get the hang of electronic keyers anyway.

28723 - KK7MPR - Beau - Tualatin - OR
My license class is Technician currently. I wish to join SKCC because I like Morse code, and I especially find straight keys nice to play with. I do not have much radio equipment yet, but I am going to build some radios from my tube collection, and talk on the air with them.

ADVANCED CLASS - BEEN AMATEUR FOR OVER 50 YEARS AND HAVE ALWAYS LOVED CW.IT'S MY MAIN GO TO MODE FOR DXING, CONTESTING AND RAG CHEWING.I'VE USED STRAIGHT KEY, BUG AND KEYER OVER THE YEARS, BUT A STRAIGHT KEY ALWAYS BRINGS ME BACK TO THE FOND MEMORIES OF BEGINNING MY AMATEUR RADIO ADVENTURE.

28725 - KG6CLA - Russ - San Diego - CA
I am a General licensee and love the history of code straight keys. I also appreciate that your club will help me make contacts and hone my skills in a friendly and patient environment. 73

28726 - G0VSK - Alan - Cannock - ENG
full UK license. I enjoy using a variety of keys, straight up down, vibroplex, Himound, and an old ww2 key. I also have a side swiper. I have looked for a bug key but I am left handed so gave that idea up.
I enjoy the rhythm of sending with a manual key and making qso's but I'm not into contesting.
